Description
This 4-week Intro to Intermediate cycle is for students who feel comfortable with the basics and are ready to explore balance as a shared, creative conversation. Counterbalance Playground invites you to experiment with weight-sharing, opposition, and trust—both in L-base and standing work.
We’ll play with balancing on feet, hands, and other body parts, discovering how small shifts in alignment and intention can completely change a shape. Rather than fixed poses, the focus is on sensing your partner, adapting in real time, and finding stability through connection. Expect plenty of exploration, clear technical guidance, and space to try, wobble, and refine.
Each week builds progressively, helping you develop confidence in giving and receiving weight while staying safe and supported. Spotting, communication, and feedback are woven throughout, keeping the practice grounded and enjoyable.
